Wrongful Termination -

Callers who feel they have been unjustly fired should be given the following options:

1) talk to their union about the termination

2) read over their personnel / employee handbook, if one exists - check for a grievance procedure - discuss the handbook with a supervisor

3) call the Ohio Civil Rights Commission or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission if the feel their termination had to do with their disability, race, religion, sex, age, or familial status

4) file for unemployment through the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services. This process will not get a person's job back, but to receive benefits, one has to prove they were fired unjustly.

5) talk to an attorney
