The Senior Information Services is a program of the Senior Resource Connection. It is funded by Title III of the Older Americans Act.

Area Agency on Aging 341-3000
Funds services, coordinates, manages, plans and advocates on behalf of older persons. The agency serves persons age 60 and older in Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby Counties.

Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels)
In order to participate in the home delivered meals programs, individuals MUST be homebound (unable to leave the home without physical assistance) . There cannot be an able-bodied individual in the home who could be preparing meals.

Passport Home Care provides older Ohioans an alternative to nursing home placement by increasing the availability of lower cost, community-based care.

HOME HEALTH CARE SERVICES
There are several home health care agencies operating in Montgomery County. These agencies are listed in the Yellow Pages telephone book under the heading "Nurses". You may contact the Senior Information Services office for guidelines to use when selecting a home health care agency.

ADULT DAY SERVICES
Adult day services provide assistance to families and caregivers who have responsibilities for an adult who cannot be left alone. It also assists those adults who need supportive service to maintain independence. A day service center is a place where older adults may go during the day which offers therapeutic group and individual activities.
